| Duties and Responsibilities
|
- Responsible for generating System Requirements for Systems comprising; SONET/SDH, DCS, Ethernet, and GMPLS/MPLS.
- Articulate applications for our systems, performance requirements.
- Contribute and represent Turin at standards bodies such as MEF, IETF.
- Participate in High level design reviews for Hardware and Software.
- Responsible for definition and acceptance of Hardware/ Software interfaces.
- Review and accept SVT test plans.
- Drive high level architecture with Hardware and Software teams.

| Qualifications |
- Requires MS degree with 8+ years experience in telecommunications industry.
- Candidate must have strong knowledge in carrier grade implementation of SONET/SDH, DCS, Ethernet and GMPLS/MPLS Networking technologies.
- Require prior experience in protection schemes' implementation, incl. BLSR/MSPRing, UPSR/SNCP, Linear, etc.
- Require hands-on experience with implementations Ethernet, MPLS,ATM, FR.
- Require hands on experience with Element/Network Management Systems, SNMP, Corba.
- Require experience in RSTP, MSTP.
- Require experience in IP, VPN's.
- Desirable experience in G.709 OTN networking, Pseudo wires, Ethernet over PDH.
- Desirable experience with VxWorks , C/C++ on PowerPC, GNU tools on Solaris, ClearCase.
- Excellent communication and team integration.
- Require excellent understanding of development process, documentation of SRS's, experience with DOORS.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Prefer experience with major telecommunications provider in research and development organization.
