| Professional Services Project/Program Engineer |
| An experienced Project/Program Engineer is needed to support the rapid growth of our Professional Services organization. The candidate will lead a wide variety of complex engagements with minimal supervision. Turin Networks is a pre-public global provider of multiservice optical/Ethernet transport products for private, wireless, and carrier networks. The company's industry leading Traverse® and TraverseEdge™ product lines unify powerful Ethernet and SONET/SDH switching functionality, enabling diverse networks worldwide to bridge the divide between current generation and next-generation optical technologies. |
| Responsibilities |
- Program Manage Professional Services projects from quotation through successful customer implementation to specified budgets and time frames
- Manage internal resources and external Services Partners and Integrators in support of all projects
- Create project IDP’s (Installation Documentation Package) to support turnkey installation projects.
- Research and document technical issues with Sales, Product Line Management, Customer Service and Engineering.
- Assist in or program manage the creation and execution of MOP’s for traffic cutover, hardware re-configurations, DCS Upgrades, live node insertions, etc.
- Develop and train new partners and contractors to support a variety of activities including testing/traffic cutover, system/software upgrades, and network reconfigurations.
- Provide customer product familiarization and training as required.
- Up to 30-40% business travel

| Qualifications |
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Telecommunications services
- Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred
- Excellent coordination and project management skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with IDP design including BOM creation, power/grounding requirements, and physical medium limitations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio.
- Strong applied background in Telecommunications equipment including; (SONET/SDH/TDM), Optical Networking (DWDM, CWDM), Ethernet/IP Networking, Windows/Unix Applications: Video, DCS, SONET/SDH, Ethernet Transport
